Why should I edit your project?
-
I am a PhD student at the University of Aberdeen, where I study Early Christian Studies and Patristics. In addition to theses written for school, I regularly present at conferences in my field and provide book reviews for peer-reviewed journals. I am also an adjunct professor, so I have the skillset to take high-level research and work with you to reframe it for your audience.
-
Beyond journal articles and book reviews, I am also actively co-editing a volume with an academic press and pursuing other publication projects. Beyond my own work, I have provided editorial and indexing work for colleagues at both academic and evangelical publishers.
-
Most of my formal writing experience comes from an academic background. That said, I have been employed full-time at a local church for over five years and regularly seek to find ways to communicate big theological ideas to “regular people” (aka, non-nerds). If you aren’t writing for the academy, I would love to help you.

You could use any number of editors or author services; however, I refuse to take on a project without personal investment in seeing it come to fruition. Since this isn’t my main source of income, I have the freedom to be selective in which projects I’m willing to accept. In other words, I actually care about your project—not just a paycheck. Other editorial and indexing services are often impersonal, disinterested, and disconnected, but I’m fighting for you.
In the end, I want to see you succeed, grow as a writer, and put something out in the world that serves the church and/or the academy.
